John A. Crosby, 72, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday September 3, 2025 at Lutheran Hospital Southwest. John was born in Toledo on December 25, 1952, the son of the late Arthur N. and Ida J. (Fry) Crosby. He served his country proudly in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. John retired in 2020 from General Motors Fort Wayne Assembly. He enjoyed following NASCAR and caring for his dogs; Ginger, Molly, and Thor.

Survivors include his wife, Denise Crosby; daughters, Jill St. John Crosby of Auburn, Anna (Jesse) James of Jacksonville FL, Deanna (Chelsey) Crosby of Chicago, and Lavonna McKerracher of Fort Wayne; sons, Travis Crosby of Auburn and Drew (Crystal) Crosby of Fort Wayne; step-sons, David (Kassie) Butler of Bluffton, Levi (Jenny) Butler of Fort Wayne, his "adopted mom" Janette Cook of Paulding OH, and several grandchildren. In addition to his parents, John was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Bailey Geist, and his "adopted dad" Robert "Bob" Cook.
