John J. Reitz, AB9RZ, 77, of Fort Wayne died December 28, 2023. John was born July 8, 1946 in Owosso, MI. He was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Air Force and he retired from Dana after 40 years of service as an Estimator. He was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church and was a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. John was a member of the Allen County Amateur Radio Technical Society (ACARTS), Ft. Wayne Radio Club, ARRL, and the National Model Railroad Association.

John is survived by his wife of 53 years Nancy Reitz; children, Julianne Reitz of Fort Wayne, IN, and Matthew (Susan) Reitz of Fishers, IN and his beloved cat Mia. John was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Reitz and sister Joan North.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Monday, January 8, 2024 at Saint Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Drive with calling one hour prior. Visitation will be held 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Sunday, January 7, 2024, with a Rosary Service at 3:30 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne.

Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Soup Kitchen and Humane Fort Wayne.
