Joseph Keith Arnold, 75, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away peacefully on December 12 at Lutheran Life Villages. He was born May 23, 1948, in Lafayette, IN to Keith and Connie (Quinn) Arnold. He graduated from Bishop Luers High School in 1966. Joseph retired from General Telephone (GTE) after thirty years of service.

Blessed with many talents, Joe participated in a wide array of activities and pastimes. He excelled in strength training and football and enjoyed golf, baseball, and swimming. Joe was also a talented artist and cartoonist with a hilariously dry wit. He enjoyed music, playing several instruments, and was blessed with a rich singing voice that rang out in both church choirs and karaoke bars. Joe possessed an uncanny memory that the family often relied on to settle disputes that involved long-forgotten names, places, and dates.

Most of all, Joe was a devoted family man and is survived by a loving - and large - family: his children, Jennifer (David) MacDonald, Douglas Rooks, Sara Arnold and Laura (Sarah) Geller, ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brothers, John Arnold and Dave (Linda) Arnold and sister, Andrea (Ron) Herman, as well as nephews and nieces. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Henry Arnold.

As the family gathers in remembrance, they would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Lutheran Life Villages at Pine Valley and Stillwater Hospice for their unwavering care and compassion for Joe during his time with them.

Funeral Mass will be 11 am Monday Dec. 18, 2023 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 518 E. DeWald St. with calling 1 hour prior. Calling also Sunday Dec. 17, 2023 from 2 to 5 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. with the Rosary recited at 1:30 pm.
