Joshua James Thornton, 40, of Fort Wayne, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

He was born in Fort Wayne on January 28, 1984 to Ricky Lynn and Frances I. (Phillips) Thornton.

Joshua enjoyed mowing the grass, playing guitar, and loved his dog, Max. He will be fondly remembered for his larger-than-life spirit, always joyful and fun to be around. Joshua was always willing to help anyone.

He is survived by his mother, Frances "Irene" Thornton; siblings, Jason (Wendy) Thornton, Dustin (Julie McCoy) Thornton, and Melissa (Mark) Parish; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his father, Ricky Lynn Thornton; and grandparents, James Phillips and Thelma Marcum, and Corley and Polly Thornton.

Funeral Services will be Friday, April 26, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Catholic Cemetery.
