Juan Antonio Perales, also lovingly known as "Tony" by family and friends, passed away on February 7, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on June 4, 1972, and will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend whose love and kindness touched many lives. Tony was known for his warm personality, humor, and generous spirit. He had a special way of making people laugh and feel welcome. He truly loved everyone he met and built lasting friendships throughout his life. He had a strong passion for cooking and found joy in preparing meals for family and friends. Tony especially loved grilling and bringing people together through food, creating memories filled with laughter and love around the table. Tony was a hardworking and talented man who worked in many trades throughout his life. He worked in carpet installation, served as a sous chef and cook, and used his mechanical skills to help others by working on vehicles, often changing brakes and assisting friends and family whenever they needed help. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Tony was also a devoted Christian who enjoyed attending church on Sundays and participating in church gatherings. His faith was an important part of his life and helped guide his love and compassion for others. Tony's legacy of kindness, generosity, humor, and deep love for his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Tony was a dedicated family man who loved his children, Rosey, Jeff, Nick, Jose, and Alisa, with all his heart. He was a proud grandfather to Lilly, Javon and Elio, and he was joyfully anticipating the arrival of another grandchild soon. His family was his greatest pride and the center of his world. He is also survived by his loving parents, Jose and Ermina Perales and also leaves behind his cherished siblings, Maria Perales, Sanjuana (Uriel) Castillo, Celia (Adan) Dominguez, Alondra (Jose) Agulia, and Lawrence Schmitz, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will deeply miss him. He is also proceeded in death by his nephew Rogelio Castillo.
Funeral Services will be at 1pm Tuesday, February 17, 2025 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805 with visitation one hour prior.
