Judy K. Harrington age 74 gracefully entered Heaven's Gates on November 17, 2024.

She was surrounded by her loving son and his family in the comfort of their home on Crooked Lake where she had been enjoying her final days after a long battle with cancer.

Born on March 12, 1950 she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Bronstetter of Fort Wayne IN and only sister to Pat Smith also of Fort Wayne.

Judy graduated from Snider High School in the class of 1968.

She married the late Howard Harrington of Fort Wayne. They started a life together and soon welcomed their only son Christopher born on February 4th, 1975.

Judy studied Respiratory Therapy throughout her career, working as a Respiratory Therapist at Parkview Memorial Hospital for over 40 years. She was a natural at her job, loved by co workers and patients, and deeply respected by the physicians. Judy had a beautiful sense of humor that always came out at just the right time to lighten the tense moments. Her medical expertise carried on in her personal life as well, always being the first to volunteer help to family and friends during times of illness.

Judy had a great love of the outdoors and being on the water. Whether taking a long drive in the car, walking the beach, or boating on the lake, she enjoyed being out in God's beautiful creation. She was an avid animal lover, always caring for wounded animals in her yard, feeding stray cats, rescuing dogs and finding time to enjoy her great love of horses.

Her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren were her greatest blessings in this life. She enjoyed watching the kids in school programs, sporting events, dance competitions, and joining in family fun at the lake.

For most of her life, Judy was an active member and sang in the choir at Trinity English Lutheran Church. After retirement she was drawn to Catholicism and began attending St. Peter's Catholic Church.

Judy is survived by her loving son Chris (Laura) of Angola IN and grandchildren Emagene and Paxton; sister Pat Smith of Fort Wayne.

Judy prayed to live a life honoring her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our sorrow is great, but not without Hope, knowing we will all be together again in Heaven.

You were loved deeply, greatly missed, and forever in our hearts.

Mass will be 11 am Saturday December 28, 2024 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road, Ft. Wayne, IN 46825 with calling 1 hour prior to Mass. Inurnment will be in Catholic Cemetery, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 5 to 8pm that same day Saturday December 28, 2024 at Salomon Farm Park, 817 W. Dupont Road, Ft. Wayne, IN 46825 in the Wolf Family Learning Center.
