Judith Catherine Birch, age 81, of Avilla, IN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Astral at Auburn Assisted Living. Born in Center Line, MI on September 9, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Madeleine (Ouellette) Clinton. Judy worked her entire career as a dedicated teacher, retiring after 30 years in education. When not working, she enjoyed cooking for her family, especially during the holidays and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Judy stayed active in her later years, swimming and taking classes at the YMCA. She also continued to tutor children and volunteer for organizations in need.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, Richard Birch; children, Michelle (Cory) Pearson, Michael (Tarra) Birch, and Kevin (Lindsey) Birch; grandchildren, Loggan, Addyson, Jack, Owen, Macy, and Bennett; brothers, Tim (Rita) Clinton, Patrick (Cathy) Clinton, and Tom (Kathy) Clinton; and sister, Debbie (Tom) Compton. Judith was preceded in death by her parents. 

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 1986 W. Cedar Canyons Road, Huntertown, IN 46748 with visitation one hour prior.
