Judith Frances Mary Sunderland Mick, a cherished lifelong resident of the Fort Wayne area, passed away peacefully on Thursday, following a brief illness. She was 76 years old.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jane and Robert Sunderland. She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Kent Mick; her two loving children, Brady Mick and Misha Eads, both of Indianapolis; her eight treasured grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her seven younger siblings and their families.

A devout Catholic, Judy's faith was the cornerstone of her life. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, September 22, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, with a saying of the Rosary at 1:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 23 at 11:00 am, with a visitation from 10:00 am until time of service, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Fort Wayne. Judy will be laid to rest at the Catholic Cemetery in Fort Wayne immediately following the Mass.

Judy's greatest success was living a life filled with joy and purpose, with her family at the heart of the beautiful life she created. As the beloved matriarch of her family, she will be fondly remembered for her deep love of the outdoors, cherished family gatherings, and her unwavering care and attention for all those she loved. Her hardworking nature and meticulous attention to detail were evident in everything she did, leaving an enduring impact on everyone around her. Judy was also an avid quilter, creating masterpieces that will be treasured by generations to come.

Judy found joy in the simple pleasures of life-camping, walks, long conversations, and sharing peaceful moments with Kent as they reflected on their life together. Her legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will continue to inspire all those she leaves behind.
