Karen K. Hughes, 81, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025.

She was born in Fort Wayne to the late James and Lucille (Manter) Copeland.

On June 6, 1959 in Fort Wayne, she married the love of her life, Charles Hughes.

Mrs. Hughes retired from Trine University on 2010.

She enjoyed gardening, reading, puzzles, and sewing. She will most fondly be remembered for her unwavering love of her grandchildren.

She is survived by five children, thirteen grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles.

Per Karens request, services will be private with burial to follow at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery.
