April 9, 1926 – September 23, 2025
Katherine Amelia Donohue, 99, of Fort Wayne, passed peacefully at Park Place Assisted Living. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Lena Scott and was born in Allen County on April 4, 1926. Katherine graduated from Washington Center High school in 1944 ,attended the Fort Wayne School of Business and then went to work at Lincoln National Bank. She married Robert T. Donohue on September 28 , 1946 and was a mom to her son Steven R. And Janine M. She was involved in PTA, Boy Scouts, bowling and card clubs. In the mid-60's she went back to work as a secretary at Fort Wayne Community schools (Lakeside and Lane Jr. High). She retired in 1989 and became a "snow bird" living by Corpus Christi Texas for 12 years. Katherine enjoyed western square dancing, playing bridge, canasta, euchre (or any card game), Land Cruiser trips, gardening and was involved with many church groups and other groups as well, but she Loved her lake cottage and fishing most of all. Katherine was loved and she will be missed by her daughter, Janine M. Eby, granddaughter, Alison N.D. Gerardot (Jeremy) great Grandson, Cole and great granddaughter, Claire Gerardot She is preceded in death by her husband Robert T. Donohue , son Steven R. Donohue, and brother Marion Scott. A graveside service will be held 11:30am, Monday September 29, 2025 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne IN, 46804, Pastor Paul Offhaus officiating. Memorials may be made in her honor to her church, St. John Lutheran Church, 729 W. Washington Blvd., Fort Wayne IN, 46802.
