Kathleen Ann "Kathy" Reed, RN, 76, of Terre Haute IN passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023. Kathy was born in Decatur on August 4, 1947, the daughter of (the late) Lyle and Harriett (Shockey) Mallonee. On August 30, 1969, Kathleen married Dr. Richard J. Reed, who survives along with their children, Sarah Reed Tibbett and Scott (Julie) Reed, and their grandchildren, Hannah Reed, Jonathan Reed, Chloe Reed, and Mia Tibbett.

Kathleen was a graduate of St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in Ft. Wayne and was in practice with her husband in Terre Haute. Above all, she loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She made friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and basket weaving. She had lived in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and St. Marten. She had also recently become an American Red Cross Disaster Volunteer.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street in Terre Haute, with Fr. Bob Showers officiating. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Ft. Wayne. The family's preferred memorial is the American Red Cross Disaster Services, 29 S. Stockwell Road, Evansville, IN 47714.
