We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Kathryn L. Kruse, who left us peacefully on July 21, 2025, at the age of 87. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to C. Dale and Thelma (Breiner) Osborn. Kathryn spent her life dedicated to her family and home.

On June 3rd, in 1961, Kathryn was married to George Kruse. She was the proud mother of two wonderful sons, Scott (Sandie) Kruse of Fort Wayne and Michael Kruse of Chicago, IL., and two grandchildren, Fr. Caleb Kruse and Olivia Kruse, who were the joys of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Kathryn formally held occupations outside of the home, including Medical Records Clerk at St. Joseph Hospital, Associate at Summit Bank, Receptionist at The Towne House Retirement Center and Sales Associate at Macy's.

Kathryn's journey through life was defined by her raising her boys and following her grandchildren's pursuits. She enjoyed reading books (often reading a book in a day), doing genealogy, rescuing miniature Italian Greyhounds, and watching and identifying birds. She enjoyed trying new recipes and sharing these with her family. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
