Kay Lynn Alberts, 74, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025. She was born on September 30, 1950, to the late Ron and Josephine Counseller.

A graduate of South Side High School, Kay lived a life filled with love, family, and simple joys. She had a deep appreciation for life's everyday blessings and found joy in cooking, caring for animals, and nurturing her plants. Her warmth and kindness touched those around her, and she will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and friends.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Rhonda Chapman, and by her daughter, Stacy (Alberts) Swanson. She is survived by her ex-husband, Greg Alberts; her son, Brandon (Samara Sheray) Alberts; and her beloved granddaughters, Sophie (Swanson), Lilly, Bella, and Carly, who brought endless light to her life.

A Celebration of Kay's Life will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, with visitation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory in Kay's memory.
