Kenneth E Cater, 64, of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, August 24th, 2025.

He was born in Fort Wayne on October 19th, 1960, to the late Ross and Georgana (Momper) Cater.

Though Kenny faced challenges, he never let them define him. Kenny lived his life with joy and perseverance. He was part of the Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana community, where he made life long friendships and was deeply cherished by everyone he knew. Kenny held numerous jobs over the years including working in restaurants, fast-food, landscaping for Canterbury Green and cleaning for the Federal Building.

In his free time, Kenny enjoyed bowling, swimming, and was a proud participant in the Special Olympics, earning multiple medals. Kenny is survived by his siblings, Stanley Cater, Janet (Dean) Stillman, Gary Cater, and Brian (Kimberly) Cater; sister-in-law, Renee Cater; 10 nieces and nephews; and 3 great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by brother Richard Cater; and sister-in-law Kathleen Cater.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Friday, August 29, at 10:30 AM at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne, IN, with Calling from 9:30 until 10:30 AM at the Church. Burial will follow at the Catholic Cemetery.
