Hagenbush
September 12, 1955 – February 6, 2026
Kent I. Hagenbush, age 70, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, in his home after a long illness. He was a member of St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church and served as a Warehouse Supervisor at SuperValu Corporation for twenty-two years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing cards, and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia. He was known for his playful personality and competitive nature, especially when playing cards with his family and friends. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Kent I. Hagenbush was born on September 12, 1955, in Rochester, Indiana, the son of Charles Richard "Red" and Betty June (Preslar) Hagenbush. He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Geralyn Egts, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Fort Wayne on August 22, 1981, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Matthew (Anne Tipton) Hagenbush of Noblesville, Indiana, Jennifer (Adam) Beeching of Fort Wayne, Michael (Hannah Hunting) Hagenbush of Fort Wayne, and Zachary Hagenbush of Carmel, Indiana; three grandchildren, Samuel, Eliza, and Callista; a brother, Charles "Chuck" Hagenbush of Argos, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Gayle Kintigh.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church, 11337 Old U.S. Highway 27 South, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 A.M. in the church. Interment will take place in Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials are requested to be given for Masses at St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church or to CTN (Community Transportation Network) 5601 Industrial Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
