Kent E. Moore, formerly of Albion, Indiana, born on January 30, 1949, in Kendallville, Indiana, peacefully passed away on May 9, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, at the age of 77. He was born to Raymond E. and Virginia (Loveall) Moore. After high school, Kent went into the US Army where he proudly served for his country as an Artillery Surveyor SP 5 in Vietnam. He later married Vicki M. (Black) Moore, who cherished their time together and will hold his memory close to her heart.
Kent was known for his work as a Party Chief in the land surveying industry, where he made many friends along the way. He, along with his wife, also owned and operated two gas stations. His passion and expertise in his field were undeniable, and he was respected by those who worked alongside him.
Kent is survived by his wife, Vicki M. Moore, his son, Aaron K. Moore, his sister, Judy (James) Shrock, his brothers, Kay (Chris) Moore and Keith (Erma) Moore, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond & Virginia Moore, a sister-in-law, Beverly Moore, and nephews, Daniel & Patrick Moore.
Kent's life will be celebrated with a Memorial Service held at 1:00pm, Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home-Cedar Canyons, 1986 W. Cedar Canyons Rd., Huntertown, IN 46748. There will be a visitation for one hour prior to the service. A Graveside service will follow the services at 4:00pm at the Sweet Cemetery in Albion, IN. We invite all who knew Kent to join us honoring his life.
