Kim
Westrick
September 30, 1961 – November 16, 2024
Kimberly S. Westrick, 63, of Fort Wayne passed away on Saturday November 16, 2024, in Fort Myers Florida. Kimberly was a graduate of Elmhurst High School class of '79. Kimberly politely stalked, skillfully captured and quickly married Steven Westrick of Fort Wayne, Indiana on October 24, 1981.
Kimberly worked at Sam's Club, then Bishop Dwenger cafeteria, where she aggressively inspired other young men to grow up and become responsible citizens, along with her two boys, and eventually her husband. In 1996 she graduated from the Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics and worked in her home as a massage therapist and bookkeeper for Allstate Westrick Family Agency. She loved Jesus, spending time with her family, sunshine, sunsets on the lake, reading, and especially making people happy with her cooking and creative recipes. She also loved people, except when she was grocery shopping. In her 14 years battling cancer and her husband's obsessive quest to cure her with common household ingredients, she found a way to laugh every day, seldom complaining, unless she was served a chopped salad and the lettuce was too big. She volunteered on occasion at St Mary's soup kitchen in Fort Wayne and weekly at St. Martin De Porres Outreach in Fort Myers, Florida.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Steven Westrick; children Daniel (Susan) Westrick, Benjamin (Emily) Westrick; mother-in-law, Joan Westrick; brother, Christopher (Pamela) Hurley; brothers-in-law, Michael (Jean) Westrick and Ronald (Kim) Westrick; sister-in-law, Loraine (Keith) Brown; 4 beautiful grandchildren, Luke, Libby, Abby, and Mathew; along with several Uncles and Aunts; and many Nephews, Nieces, and Cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Ann Hurley; and father-in-law, David Westrick.
