Lillian Sue Williamson, 73, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday October 5, 2024, at Coventry Meadows. Sue was born January 30, 1951, in Fort Wayne, the daughter of (the late) Earl and Lilly (Webb) Buhr. She graduated from North Side High School with the Class of '69 and went on to earn her degree from Ivy Tech College.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Laura (Jay Maxwell) Williamson-Maxwell of Fort Wayne; son, Jerry Williamson, formerly of Fort Wayne; brother, Carl (Marjorie Sue) Buhr of Bradenton FL; grandchildren, Darren Williamson of Anderson, Riselle Bonner, Jr, and Nicholas Tucker, both of Fort Wayne, and step-grandson, Tyler Maxwell of Fort Wayne.

In addition to her parents, Sue was also preceded in death by a brother, David Lee Buhr, Sr.

Sue was employed as a CNA and retired from Sunrise Assisted Living. She was an avid fan of Elvis Presley and collector of Elvis memorabilia. Sue enjoyed the piano, having first begun playing at age 7; she also wrote poetry and collected angels. Sue was kindhearted and always willing to be of care & assistance to others. She was a good mother & grandmother, and she will be dearly missed.

Funeral Services are 2:00pm Friday October 11, 2024, at Divine Mercy – Lake Avenue Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. with visitation from 1-2pm in the funeral home. Sue will be laid to rest in Catholic Cemetery. The family's preferred memorial is the Alzheimer's Association, online at act.alz.org or by mail to 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
