Linda Lu (Rexroth) Cottrell, age 66, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, surrounded by her family.  Born on September 20, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Mary Ellen (Relue) Rexroth.  Linda was a 1977 graduate of Paul Harding High School.  She worked for Delta Airlines for 6 years and also for Aptive.  Linda had a passion for travel, whether through work or simply for pleasure, she loved to hop on a plane and explore new places. She enjoyed selling Mary Kay cosmetics, which she did for many years, even earning herself a Mary Kay car.  Above all, Linda loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  She was a deeply spiritual person as well as a very hard worker, and this showed in every aspect of her life. Linda will be remembered as a kind, sweet, passionate, and loving person by her family and friends.  She will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Nathan (Latacha) Cottrell and Natalie Cottrell; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Laylah, and Kaleigh Frederick, and Maleena and Adrian "AJ" Cottrell; brothers, Keith (Jim Gillenwater) Rexroth and Neil (Heidy) Rexroth; sisters, Karen (Beth Bridge) Rexroth and Nancy Young; nephew, Scott (Nicole) Rexroth; and great-nephews, Alex, Logan and Corbin. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Laurie Ann Kirkwood.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805 with visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Memorials can be written to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana (cancer-services.org) in Linda's name.  Fond memories and condolences can be left at www.divinemercyfuneralhome.com for the family.
