Lisa Marie
Smith
October 13, 1963 – June 1, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lisa Marie (Martony) Smith, who left us peacefully on June 1, 2025, at the age of 61 after a devastating battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on October 13, 1963, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, she was the daughter of Robert L. and Joanne M. (Nommay) Martony.
Lisa chose a career working in collections, most recently at American International Finance/Carplex, where her hard work earned her respect and admiration from colleagues and customers alike. She approached her work with the same dedication that she brought into every aspect of her life. Lisa enjoyed spending her free time spoiling her beloved dogs, floating in the pool with her sister, and spending quality time at home on their llama farm with her husband and daughter. Lisa was known for her selfless and caring nature; making sure loved ones always had whatever they needed.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 36 years, Timothy A. Smith, daughter: Amanda Smith, sister: Janet (Stanley) Schenk, father-in-law and mother-in-law: Michael and Marjorie Westphal, sister-in-law: Rebecca (Thomas) Coath, brother-in-law: Steven (Tiffanie) Westphal, nephews: Christopher Coath, Bryan Westphal, and Aiden Westphal, niece: Morgan Westphal, and best friend of over 50 years: Leila Wheaton. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother: Joseph Martony, sister: Deborah (Dale) Hunt, and aunt: Janet Fisher.
The family will host a Celebration of Life in July 2025. Details can be obtained by contacting the family directly. Arrangements were made at Divine Mercy Funeral Home-Cedar Canyons, 1986 W. Cedar Canyons Rd., Huntertown, IN 46748.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the family to support the continuation of their llama farm or in Lisa's name to a charity of your choosing. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts. Online condolences may be left at www.divinemercyfuneralhome.com.
