Lois Jean
Hageman
April 16, 1929 – September 1, 2025
Lois Jean Hageman, age 96, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025, at Lincolnshire Place. Born on April 16, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Bertha (Rietdorf) Stalf. Lois was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, class of 1947. On January 7, 1950, she married Thomas J. Hageman. They spent 68 wonderful years together, until Thomas' passing in 2018. Family always came first for Lois, as she was a dedicated wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Lois was a talented artist, who loved to create. She was so talented in fact, she was offered an art scholarship from the University of St. Francis. Lois also loved traveling with Tommy, and spending time at Adams Lake. She enjoyed the company of her many friends and will be remembered as a true friend to all and a great listener.
Faith was important to Lois. She was one of the first parishioners at St. Therese Catholic Church, where she also served in the Rosary Sodality. Lois was a Kin Club member where she enjoyed socializing with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mark (Kay) Hageman, Scott (Sabina) Hageman, and Sharon (Keith) Shie; grandchildren, Neal (Amber) Hageman, Joel (Agata) Hageman, Todd (Shabs) Hageman, Samuel Hageman, Amanda Shie, and Alex Shie; great-grandchildren, Max, Kaia, Owen, Fiona, and Nora Hageman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Hageman; her parents; and sister, Dorothy Koch.
A Committal Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. A Celebration of Life will follow the burial from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805. Memorials can be written to Adam's Lake Fireworks or to the University of St. Francis Art Department in Lois' name. Condolences can be left at www.divinemercyfuneralhome.com for the family.
