Louis "Louie" Henry Till, age 91, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, surrounded by his family.  Born on December 22, 1933, he was the son of the late Albert and Angelene (Smith) Till.  Louie honorably served his country as a medic in the United States Army stationed in Landstuhl, Germany, during the Cold War.  He worked for International Harvester for 32 years until his retirement in 1988.

When not working, he loved being outdoors.  You could often find Louie fishing, camping, spending time at the lake, or simply working in the garden.  He was a very social person and enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, and dancing.  Faith was important to Louie, as he was a life-long member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church. He also served as a Third Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus and remained very active in the Church.

Louie was married to Claire (Davis) in 1954, and they enjoyed 48 wonderful years together until her passing in 2002. Left to cherish his memory are their children, Deborah (Till) Anderson, Gregory Till, and Jeffrey (Kimberly) Till; grandchildren, Nathaniel Anderson, Zachary Till, Nicholas Till, Brittany (Jared) DeKoninck, Tabatha Anderson, Brian Till, Samantha (Ross) Bitzel, Jessica Till, Nolan Till, Kaylie Till, Kiera Till, Olivia Till, Corbin Till, Adrian Till, and Joel Till; 7 great-grandchildren (and 1 due any day); brothers, Carl (Annie) Till, Kenneth (Susan) Till and David (Mary)Till; sister, Diane (John) Beuchel, sister-in-law Lilly Till; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Also surviving is Louie's current wife, Janet Till.

Louie was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kirsten Till; son-in-law, Edward Anderson; daughter-in-law, Christine Till; brothers and sister-in-law, William Till; Gerald (Evelyn) Till and Harold Till.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1500 W. State Blvd., Fort Wayne, IN 46808.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805 with a Rosary recited at 3:30 p.m.  Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, with Military Honors.
