Luis
Alvarado
Jul 14, 1951 — Sep 8, 2026
Fort Wayne
Luis, often referred to as “Tio Luis”, spent most of his life serving God. He was born and raised in El Salvador and immigrated to Los Angeles, California in 1983. He moved to Fort Wayne, IN in the year 2000. He spent the last portion of his life in Indiana with his wife, Doris Alvarado, and pets. He spent many years as a Pastor. He also worked as a painter and construction worker until he retired. Luis enjoyed fishing, gardening, and doing mission work in El Salvador with his church. His last mission trip was in August 2026. During his last mission, he helped build a fence for a family that has children with autism. Luis was a huge part of his community and enjoyed helping others. He leaves behind his wife and two daughters, Nimia Alvarado and Dinora Aleman. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and we take comfort knowing he is now at peace in Heaven with God.
