Marie "Mary" T. Bernardi, age 94, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 2, 1929, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Louise (Duvaux) Pope. On July 1, 1950, Mary married Joseph Bernardi and raised two daughters in Nutley, New Jersey. They were active members in Holy Family Catholic Church. Mary had a passion for sewing and dedicated her talents to revive and embellish hundreds of old dolls to donate to her church for children in need. In her later years, she attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with family in Fort Wayne. Her favorite memories were times spent with her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Henry and Eddie Pope; sister, Ann Minogue; daughters, Dr. Diane (Bill) Bernardi Stockinger, of Fort Wayne and Debra (Ira) Bernardi Weiner, of Parsippany, NJ; loving grandchildren, Dr. David (Shanna) Louis, Eric (Nicole Metta) Weiner, Elizabeth (Christian) Lichtsinn, and Sarah (TJ) Stotlar; great-grandchildren, Luke, Charlie, Eliana, Daniel, Grace, and Maverick; and devoted caregiver, Trinity Ferguson. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, John, Lily, Andree, and Madeleine.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804 with visitation one hour prior.
