Marilyn R. Sorg, 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Fort Wayne on June 23, 1930 to the late Jacob and Bernadine (Hoevel) Mattes.

On May 30, 1953, Marilyn married the love of her life, Raymond Sorg. He preceded her in passing on June 18, 2011.

Marilyn worked as an Executive Secretary for General Electric and the went on to retire from North American Van Lines.

She was a member of Saint Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church.

In her free time, Marilyn enjoyed traveling, sewing, bingo, playing cards, dancing and hosting parties. She will be fondly remembered for her amazing skills in organizing trips with Lightrider Bus Tours and with her group 'the odds and ends'.

She is survived by her children, Lori (Mark) Miller and Tim (Jackie) Sorg; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were a son, Randall Sorg; and siblings, Herbert, Luella, Willard, Edna, and Ray.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Saint Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church, 11337 US-27, Fort Wayne with calling from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Calling will also be Friday, November 21, 2025 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne with the recitation of the Most Holy Rosary at 3:45 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to Saint Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church for Masses to be Celebrated in Marilyn's Memory or Elios Hospice.
