March 21, 1945 – June 15, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marjorie "Ann" Pugh, who left us peacefully on June 15th, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born on March 21, 1945, in Lima, Ohio, to Charles Evans Townsend and Olive Dean (Rowe) Townsend.
Affectionately known as Ann, she graduated from Paulding High School in 1963. She made her home in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she dedicated herself to work at WOWO radio station and as a Parts Expeditor in the truck manufacturing industry at International Harvester where she retired from. She moved to Laguna Beach, California and married the love her of her life, James Pugh, on July 4th, 1976, who survives her. Ann completed the Fashion Merchandising Program at Saddleback College. She worked at the Laguna Beach Health Club, and Kid Care Child Development Program.
She played many roles throughout her life: an employee, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, and a cherished friend and she embraced each role with warmth and dedication. Ann is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, James Pugh, her son, Damion Pugh, Granddaughters Sasha Pugh, and Hanna Pugh, sisters, Linda Walsh, and Karen Townsend and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Jacy Turner, a sister, Gayle Sarver, and a brother, Billy Townsend.
Her family will hold a memorial service to honor Ann's memory, on Saturday, July 19, 2025 with calling from 11:00am -12:00pm and services at noon at Divine Mercy Funeral Home – Cedar Canyons, 1986 W. Cedar Canyons Rd, Huntertown, IN 46748. Memorial contributions may be made to: The Obama Foundation, 5235 S. Harper Ctr, Suite 1140, Chicago, IL 60615. Though Ann's presence will be profoundly missed, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
