Martin Reyes de Jesus, 82, of Roanoke, died Saturday, December 20, 2025.

He was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on July 28, 1943, to the late Elena de Jesus Cabrera and Martin Reyes Narvaez. He was raised by the late Cruz Reyes Narvaez and Juan Sierra Rodriguez.

In December of 1965, he answered his nation's call and honorably served in the United States Army.

On August 27, 1966, he married the love of his life, Ada Colon Torres.

He retired as a truck driver for Atlantic Tire in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

Together with Ada, he was a member of Saint Joseph Brooklyn Catholic Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ada; children, Adalys Reyes Colon (Deacon Orlando Miranda-Figueroa) and Brother Noel Reyes Colon, OSB; grandchildren, Orlando Miranda-Reyes, Odalys Miranda-Reyes, Coralys Miranda-Reyes, Andres Miranda-Reyes, Ivan Miranda; great-grandchildren, Brayson Anthony Miranda, Damian Cosmo Engel, and Luis Martin Engel; siblings, Luz Divina Reyes de Jesus, Laura Reyes de Jesus, Roberto Reyes de Jesus, Hector Reyes Nieves, Luis Reyes Nieves, Maria Virgen Reyes Nieves, Milagros Reyes Nieves, Eulalia Reyes Nieves; and adoptive siblings, Nelly E Sierra Reyes, Carmen Sierra Reyes, Claribel Sierra Reyes, Arcadio Sierra Reyes. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Edith Reyes de Jesus and Miguelina Reyes Nieves.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3pm on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Saint Joseph Brooklyn Catholic Church with visitation from 2-3pm at the church. Burial will follow at Catholic Cemetery.

Preferred memorials may be directed to Los Padres del Espiritu Santo.
