Mary E. Ashby, 89, of Fort Wayne passed away June 13, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Lima, OH and was a member of St. Mary Mother of God Catholic Church. Mary volunteered at Miss Virginia's Mission House and St. Mary's soup kitchen. She retired as a cook from Bishop Dwenger High School. Mary was passionate about God, family and gardening. She is survived by daughters, Theresa (Michael) Blaugh, Jeanne (Mark) Lampman, Laura (Kirk) St. Myers and Victoria Poss, son, Daniel (Janice) Ashby, grandchildren, Andrew, Jonathon, Benjamin, Samuel, Matthew, Kathleen, Holly, Jennifer, Garrett, Christine and Danielle, great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Evelyn, Lilly, Donny, Addy, Will, Jack, Tess, Joe, Jamie, Elle, Mason, Ethan, Clara, Emma, Olivia, Mila, Genevieve, Kierstin and Kaitlyn. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Ashby, son, Timothy Ashby, daughter, Kathleen Ashby, brothers, John Myers, William Meyers and Dick Gengler. Mass of Christian Resurrection will be 11:30 am Monday, June 17, 2024 at St. Mary Mother of God Catholic Church, 1101 S. Lafayette St, Ft. Wayne, with calling 1 hour prior and the Rosary recited at 10 am at the church. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Ft. Wayne.
