It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Mary Lou Gorman, who left us peacefully on November 8, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on June 28, 1927, in Madison, Wisconsin, Mary was a bright light in the lives of those who knew her. She was a dedicated homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home for her family in Roanoke, Indiana, where she lived for almost 40 years.

Mary's hobbies include dancing, listening to music, reading the news, loved cooking, spending quality time with family, and she loved talking on the phone especially to her sister Patsy.

Mary is survived by her loving son, James J. Gorman, her caring daughter, Bridget A. Hansen, five grandchildren Jaclyn and (Dean) Baughman, Vanessa and (Pete) Agrafiotis, James T. Gorman, and Bridget Nix, four great-grandchildren, Dean Jr. and Antonia Baughman, Malachi Shelly, Jeremiah Nix, and Ireland Hansen. as well as a sister, Patricia Gorman.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy & Bridget (Sherlock) Gorman, a daughter, Mary Katherine Colby, and three sisters, Rose Mesker, Margaret Jennings, and Katherine Gorman, her grandson Daniel J. Hansen and her daughter-in-law Deloris Gorman and her son-in-law Greg Colby.

Visitation will take place from 1-6pm Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home-Cedar Canyons, 1986 W. Cedar Canyons Rd., Huntertown, IN 46748. There will be a rosary prayed at 5pm. The Mass will take place at 9:30am, Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, at The Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, 1105 S. Calhoun St., Fort Wayne. There will be a one hour prior visitation. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph New Cemetery, 4500 Foley Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45201.
