Mary Kathryn Kocks-Degitz-Hobbs, 87, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025. Mary was born in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Othmar and Marie (Kraft) Kocks. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1955. Mary raised three children while working various jobs out of the home, retiring from Ream Steckbeck in 2015. She and her husband Robert enjoyed antiquing, attending auctions and refurbishing and decorating their homes. She enjoyed spending time with her two grandsons and loved their overnight visits. Mary was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Rosary Sodality.  Mary is survived by her daughter Kathryn (Larry) Bohnke of Monroeville, IN and son Jeffrey (Julie Malnor) Degitz of Fort Wayne, IN; grandsons, Gregory (Alexandria) Degitz and Ian (Jordan Franklin) Degitz; 5 great grandchildren, Lillianna, Isla, Elison, Mackenzie and Korinne.  She is preceded in death by her son Gregory Degitz and her husband Robert Hobbs; brothers, Charles and James Kocks and sister, Carolyn Gerard.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Monday, May 19, 2025 with visitation one hour prior at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 1515 Barthold St., Fort Wayne, IN 46808. Visitation will also be 3-7pm Sunday May 18, 2025 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46808 with a Rosary service at 2:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
