Mary Ann Jackson, 86, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, January 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born May 12,1938 in Fort Wayne, Ind., Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Lansing and Agnes (Bolyard) Giant. She was a faithful follower of Christ and attended Central Catholic High School, graduating in 1956. It was there that she began dating the love of her life, Tom Jackson. She married her eternal soulmate on May 10, 1958. Together they built a life full of love, laughter and countless memories. While growing up she helped in her family's grocery store, Giant Food Store. She worked at International Harvester and Thomas P. Jackson, Inc. One of Mary Ann's greatest gifts was her unwavering devotion as a wife, mother and grandmother to Tom, her six children, 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She poured her heart into each and every one of them, loving them so deeply. She was their constant source of unconditional love and her legacy will live on through them. Mary Ann brought warmth and light into every room she entered and all who knew her were blessed. She put God above all else and walked her faith with such grace and beauty. Mary Ann is survived by her sons, Kevin (Lori) Jackson of Warren, Ind., Gregory (Rosie) Jackson, Gary (Natalie) Jackson; daughter, Karen (Mike) Bickel; son-in-law, John Workman of Fort Wayne, Ind.; daughter-in-law, Karen Kerr Jackson of Woodburn, Ind.; 22 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and sister-in-law, Joan Giant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; son, Jeff Jackson; daughter, Kelley Workman; granddaughter, Tamara Kay Workman; brothers, Delbert Giant, Ralph Giant, Merle Giant and sister, Birnelle Kerslake. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Friday January 24, 2025 at St Peter's Catholic Church, 518 E. Dewald St., with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 5-8pm Thursday January 23, 2025 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., with the rosary at 4:45pm. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
