Mary Louise Norris, 82, formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on November 27, 2023. She was born on November 3, 1941, in Indianapolis and grew up in North Vernon, IN. Mary will be deeply missed by her sisters Margaret, Jane, Ruth, and Josephine, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews whom she adored. She was preceded in death by her father Ralph Waldo Norris, mother Margaret Rose Norris, half-sister Louisa Norris, and half-brother David Norris.

After graduating from Oldenburg Academy Mary received a BA in nursing at Good Samaritan of Cincinnati and became a Family Nurse Practitioner at Ohio State University. She worked in Private Family Practice for many years and then at St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis where she retired after about 30 years.

A devout Catholic, she was a woman of many, many interests. She loved to sew and bake, was an avid reader, traveled much, loved trivia and puzzles, collected stamps and was a serious gardener.

Mary truly enjoyed this past year as a resident at St. Anne's Community in Fort Wayne and made many dear, dear friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held in Mary's honor on December 16 at 10:30 AM at the Chapel at St. Anne's Community in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Prior to the Mass, visitation will be held in the chapel at 9:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Anne's Community in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in memory of Mary Norris.
