Mary F. Hopkins Rediger, 94, of Bartow, FL passed away on Mondy, June 3, 2024, at Chateau Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Fort Wayne. Born on February 27, 1930, she was the daughter of the late William O. and Emma (Smith) Hopkins. Raised in Fort Wayne, Mary attended Northside High School. She moved to Bartow, FL, where she lived for the last 45 years, until returning to Fort Wayne five years ago, residing at the Chateau. Mary enjoyed fishing, tending to her flowers, and reading. She loved being a grandmother to all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Chuck Rediger and Fran Rediger Wirges; grandchildren, Jamie Rediger, Tina (David) Parris, Damion (Devon Lewandowski) Wirges, and Todd Wirges; great-grandchildren, Brandy (Tony) Beckstedt, Kayla, Casey, and Montana Parris, Malik (Koby), Camden, and Zane Wirges; great-great-grandchildren, Aliva, Dominic, Carson, Danica, and Easton; sister-in-law, Sue Hopkins; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rediger; son, Larry Rediger; sister, Barbara Roberts; brother, Bill Hopkins; niece, Dorilynn Hopkins-Parrish; son-in-law, Danny Lee Wirges; and her parents.
