Our blessed mother, Mary Louise Roberts, spread her wings and passed through the gates of heaven on December 27th, 2024, at the age of 96. Born February 26th, 1928, to William and Lucille Leonard, Mary Lou graduated from Central Catholic High School, Ball State University and the University of St. Francis with her Master of Education.  She married the love of her life, H. Paul Roberts in 1948, who proceeded her in death along with her son-in-law Gary Davis.  She is survived by her daughters Rosemary (Dan Schlund) Roberts of Fort Wayne, Kathy Davis of Fremont, Kimberly (Jon Jackson) Roberts of Florida, her lifelong friend, Mary Lou Blinn of New Haven.  Grandchildren Jessica (David), Jarret (Elizabeth), Ryan and seven great grandchildren.  Mary Lou brought fun and excitement to all of life's situations, she loved teaching school until her retirement in 1990, she and Paul belonged to many camping clubs, enjoyed traveling the United States, and always had a warm meal ready for friends and family.  Mary Lou was an avid reader, creative knitter, and lover of all animals. We are all left to mourn the loss of her kindhearted soul.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46815 with visitation one hour prior.  Visitation will also be held 4-8 pm on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church or Humane Fort Wayne.
