Mary Ann Schnelker, 89, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on July 21, 2023. She was dedicated to her Catholic faith and found fulfillment in volunteering to help others. Mary enjoyed reading and cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her son, Michael Schnelker, her daughter and son-in-law, Molly and Timothy Daugherty, her daughter and son-in-law, Meg and Todd Ames, as well as 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Philip Schnelker, her son Matthew Schnelker, her daughter-in-law Molly Gorman Schnelker, and her parents, Earl and Pauline Laughlin.

Mary Ann attended Central Catholic High School in Fort Wayne, IN. Mary enjoyed volunteer activities which helped other people.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at St. Jude Catholic Church, with visitation starting at 10am, mass at 11 am followed by internment at the Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Catholic Charities and Vincent Village Inc.

Mary Ann Schnelker will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her faith, her love for her family, and her commitment to helping others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
