Maryann T. Quinn, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025.
She was born on October 29, 1940 in Fort Wayne to the late Elliott and Frances (Hoffelder) Dyer.
Maryann graduated from Saint Francis University with a Masters in Education.
On June 20, 1970, she married the love of her life, William "Ray" Quinn. Together they began the journey of raising a beautiful family, first with their son, Tony and then their daughter, Beth. Through the years their family was blessed with 6 wonderful grandchildren.
Mrs. Quinn was a lifelong educator. She taught for a brief time in California. She then went on to teach at Saint Isaac Jogues Catholic School in Niles, Michigan, Saint Joseph Catholic School in Garrett, and then went on to retire after 26 years with Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic School in Fort Wayne.
Maryann was a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church where she had served as a money counter for more than 20 years. Maryann was a loving Navy wife, helping to support Navy families as an Ombudsman. She was also a loyal baseball statistician for the Hamilton Park Little League.
She is survived by her children, Tony (Darcy) Quinn and Beth (Benjamin) Slater; six grandchildren, Colin, Madeline, Ana, Aaron, Cecilia, and Josephine; and a sister, Suzann (Steve) Armstrong.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, Ray; and siblings, Donald, Thomas, and John.
A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne with the recitation of the Most Holy Rosary at 4 p.m.
Memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warriors Project or Masses to be Celebrated for Maryann.
