Melinda Jo Wheeler, 50, of Garrett, IN, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024, due to natural causes. She was born on February 17, 1974, in Marion, IN, to Marilyn S. Davis and Donald G. Davis.

Melinda spent her life dedicated to caring for others as a hardworking housekeeper in the industry she loved. She loved being a wife and mother. She also enjoyed traveling, reading, and her cat, Abner.

Melinda will be dearly missed by her loving spouse of 17 years, Benjamin Wheeler, daughter, Michaela Davis, her mother, Marilyn S, Davis, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald G. Davis., and uncles John and James Tricker.

A funeral service to honor Melinda's life will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, September 13, 2024, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Catholic Cemetery.
