Michael P. Faurote, 83, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on October 10, 2026. He was born in Fort Wayne on April 18, 1943, to Michael and Virginia Faurote.

Mike was a devoted family man. For 63 years, he was married to the love of his life, Patricia A. Faurote. He wanted to be remembered as a good husband and father, and he was both.

Mike graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1961. He gave 33 years of hard work to B.F. Goodrich, and after retiring, he spent another 10 years with the Indiana Highway Department.

Mike found joy in simple things. He loved gardening, bowling, and cheering on Bishop Dwenger and Notre Dame football as a faithful fan. He was a proud member of the American Legion 499, and he treasured the friendships he made at the VFW Post 857. He was also a member of the Eagles and the Elks.

He leaves behind the family who adored him. In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by his three daughters, Lisa (Mike) Harris, Kristine (John) Myers, and Robin (Doug) Guntsch; five grandchildren, Lindsay (Matt) Bessesen, Madeline (Jack) Dyro, Gwendolyn (Phil) Sordelet, Jack Harris, and Emily Myers; and seven great-grandchildren, Rose, Andrew, Virginia, Julia, Margaret, John Paul, and Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Virginia Faurote, and his great-granddaughter, Elizabeth.

Service arrangements are pending with Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stillwater Hospice or to the family for Masses.
