Michael "Mike" Lowery, 58, of Kendallville, Indiana, passed away on December 2, 2024. Mike was born on September 23, 1966, to George and Carol Lowery. Throughout his life, he was known for his big heart, his sense of humor, and his unshakeable authenticity. He was a man who lived fully and loved deeply, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family.
Mike is survived by his parents, George and Carol Lowery; his daughters, Rose Balyeat (Jon) and Eve Lowery (Nick); his stepdaughter Tiffany Nicole and their mother, Beverly; his grandchildren, Kyle and Ella Balyeat; his siblings, Linda Hatfield (Chris), George Lowery (Susan), Lisa Nelson (Andrew), and Deanna Zamiska (Mark); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who adored him.
A man of big personality and bigger love, Mike made an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter was contagious, and his ability to make people feel welcome and cherished was unmatched. Mike's love for his family was evident in everything he did—whether it was offering a helping hand or sharing a lighthearted moment to brighten someone's day. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched, a reminder of the power of loving big and living life authentically.
A service will be held to honor Mike's life on Saturday, December 14th with a visitation at 10 am and a service at 11 am at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46825. There will be a reception following the funeral. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to those who have supported them during this difficult time.
Mike, you will be dearly missed. Your love and laughter will stay with us always.
