Michael Vince Moody, 37, passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2026. He was born May 2, 1989, in Los Angeles, California, and was incredibly proud of where he came from. Although he eventually made Fort Wayne, Indiana, his home, a little piece of Los Angeles was always a part of him.

Michael was a savage automotive painter who had a gift for turning cars into works of art. Watching him work was something special, he didn't simply paint cars; he created them. Everyone knows he had a love-hate relationship with cars, but lowriders and hydraulics were his thing, and there was nothing quite like seeing him bring his vision to life.

More than anything, Michael loved his children. He absolutely adored Nathan Moody, Melina Moody, and Liliana Moody. His kids were his world, and he was a great father. His love for them was unmistakable, and his presence as their dad will forever be a part of who they are.

Michael was one of a kind. He was straight-up, no bull and no fluff. He said what he thought and never felt the need to dress it up. He could be an "ass", but in a funny, good way. The kind of ass you couldn't help but love. He was absolutely hilarious, and anyone who spent time with him was probably going to end up in tears laughing or getting roasted.

And then there was his love of cannabis, something he was absolutely relentless about. Michael could convince just about anyone that they needed to smoke with him, whether they agreed or not, like it was his personal mission. His cannabis was loud, his invitations were persistent, and honestly, it was basically his second wife.

Michael leaves behind his beloved children, Nathan, Melina, and Liliana; his wife, Cindy Moody; his father, Rudy Rosales; his sisters, Saleena Moody and Alison Rosales; and his nephews, Lil Vic, Alex, Angelo and Sylas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rachel.

Michael wasn't perfect, and he never pretended to be. He was unapologetically himself. He was funny, talented, stubborn, honest, smart, and impossible to forget. He loved his kids fiercely, had a passion for his craft, and had a way of making an ordinary moment into a story people would remember.

He was one of a kind.

And there will never be another Michael Vince Moody.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805 with a Rosary and prayers recited at 2:00 p.m.  The family will share memories at 4:00 p.m., followed by a car line-up for the Last Ride.
