Monica M. Gehl, 64, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday December 30, 2025, at St. Anne Home and Retirement Community. She was born in Fort Wayne on September 1, 1961, the daughter of Delores (Baily) Gehl and the late Marvin R. Gehl. Monica graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School with the Class of '80 and was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. She was an avid sports fan, especially enjoyed following the Chiefs and NASCAR. Monica had retired from restaurant management and had a passion for cooking, especially baking. She always enjoyed her family gatherings, spending time with the children and her nieces & nephews and caring for her cat "Penny".

Monica is survived by her mother, Delores Gehl of Fort Wayne; sister, Teresa (Frank) Jaworski of Comstock Park MI; brothers, Michael Gehl and Gregory (Kathleen) Gehl, both of Fort Wayne, Nicholas (Amanda) Gehl of New Haven, and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to her father, Monica was also preceded in death by a sister, Melissa Gehl.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am Friday January 9, 2026, in St. Jude Catholic Church, 2155 Randallia Dr. with visitation from 9:30-10:30am in the church. Visitation also from 4-8pm Thursday at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. with the Rosary at 3:30pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. The family's preferred memorial is Bishop Dwenger High School.
