Nancy Lynn (Hunt) Cerney, 91, passed away on October 14, 2026, at Saint Anne Communities – Randallia Place in Fort Wayne, IN. Born on July 16, 1935 in Fort Wayne, she was a 1953 graduate of Central Catholic High School and a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. She was an active member of The Christ Child Society. She was employed by General Electric for 25 years as an Executive Secretary and later employed by Lutheran Hospital for 13 years. Nancy was an avid tennis player and enjoyed bowling.

Nancy is survived by her children, Mark (Gigi) Cerney of Longmont, CO, Jeannie Perry of Alpharetta, GA; grandsons, Zack (Bethany) Perry and Matt (Payton) Perry; great grandchildren, Elliana and Abigail Perry; daughter-in-law, Alyssa Cerney; her sister, Judith (Hunt) Potosky, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Dr. Brian Cerney; parents, Earl & Jean (Andrews) Hunt; brother-in-law, Frank J. Potosky, Jr. and nephew, Stephen Potosky.

Funeral Mass is 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2026 at Saint Anne Chapel – Randallia Place, 1900 Randallia Dr, Fort Wayne, with visitation from 2:30-3:00pm in the Chapel. Arrangements through Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are St. Therese Catholic Church, The Christ Child Society or Women's Care Center of Fort Wayne.
