Nancy Louise
Norton
December 25, 2025
Nancy Louise Norton (née Massoth), 79, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 25, 2025, in Fort Wayne, IN. It was fitting that she departed on Christmas Day, as she loved Christmas.
Throughout her long battle with illness, Nancy maintained her kindness, grace, and compassion. She continued to express gratitude for her long life; one filled with wonderful and varied experiences.
Nancy was licensed as a master hairstylist for 46 years. She also served as an instructor and manager at several beauty schools in Fort Wayne, including Four Winds, Rudae's, and Ravenscroft.
Nancy loved sunshine, gardening, Kahlua on the rocks, an immaculate home, and most of all her family. Her hair and makeup were always perfect, though she never took herself too seriously. She sang in the car, danced in the kitchen, and always accessorized with lots of gold jewelry.
She was hilarious, gorgeous, and tough as nails. She had boundless energy, a megawatt smile, and a fiery temper.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Larry Norton; her children, Scott Summers, and Sara Fraine (Ryan); her sisters, Elaine Rash (Thomas), Wendy Marencik (James), Sandy Schultz (Tom), Sue Reidenbach, Laurie Massoth, and Lee Ann Norton Cole (Bruce); her brothers, Clifford 'Kip' Massoth, Will Norton, Dennis Norton, and Brian Norton (Teresa). Also surviving are five grandchildren: Bailey, Emma, Cameron, Riley, and Jordan, as well as three great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. In her final days, Nancy was supported by her caretaker, Masina Crosley.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Maxine and Warren Massoth; her stepfather Glen Gephart; her brother Bruce Massoth; and her parents in-law, Betty and Harold E. Norton.
Visitation for Nancy will be Friday, Jan. 9th from 4pm until 8pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805
Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery
Memorial donations can be made in Nancy's name to the American Cancer Society
