J. Patrick "Pat" Kilfoil, 86, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday August 23, 2025 at home, surrounded by his family. Pat was born in Erie PA on February 19, 1939, the son of the late John and Mary Virginia (Dailey) Kilfoil. He was deep rooted in his Catholic Faith, attending Catholic grade school where he was an Altar Server, St. Xavier High School and Xavier University, earning his degree in 1961. Pat served in the Air National Guard for several years and on April 16, 1966, he married Ann (Sullivan) Kilfoil, who survives along with their children; Maureen Kilfoil of Indianapolis, Sarah (James Carr) Kilfoil of Indianapolis, Eileen (Darren) Galgano of Minnetonka MN; grandchildren, Michael Galgano of Chicago IL, Matthew Galgano of Chanhassen MN, and Pat Carr, Maggie Carr, and Katie Carr, all of Indianapolis. Pat is also survived by his brother, Timothy (Diana) Kilfoil of Cincinnati, and his sisters, Mary Louise Nemecek of Lexington KY and Sheila Kilfoil of Cincinnati.

Pat was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. He enjoyed playing golf at Pine Valley Country Club for 50 years.  He also enjoyed shooting trap and skeet and volunteering at St. Joe Valley Conservation Club. Pat was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. His favorite music was the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra.  His winter hobby was downhill snow skiing with his wife Ann.  Pat's favorite hobby was flying his V-tail Bonanza to Oshkosh Wisconsin Air Show.  He flew in formation which Pat said was the thrill of a lifetime.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am Thursday August 28, 2025 in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1105 S. Calhoun St. with visitation from 9:30-10:00am in the church. Visitation also on Wednesday from 5-7pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
