Patricia "Pat" Grace Roy Irey, 94, of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, July 29, 2024 at Saint Anne Home & Retirement Community.

She was born on February 26, 1930 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late Clarence and Grace (Trim) Spaulding.

Pat worked for Fort Wayne National Bank and then retired from Fort Wayne Community Schools.

She was an active member of Saint Vincent DePaul Catholic Church and the Small Christian Community, CHRP – Mission Team. In her free time, Pat enjoyed volunteering at Saint Joseph Hospital, the Botanical Gardens, and the Embassy Theatre.

Pat will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who's legacy will live on in all the people she touched throughout her life.

Her children would tell you she was loved and admired by many and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Louis (Debra) Roy, Denise "Dee" (Lynn) Weaver, Laura (Chuck) Duzey-Cahill, Mark (Susie Corazzi Goodwin) Roy, and Martha (Mike) Payton; stepchildren, Annmarie Talfonso, Michelle Nowak, and Laura Queen; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; and brother, Thomas Spaulding.

Also preceding her in death were husbands, Louis Roy and James Irey; children, Jon Roy and Michael Roy; stepdaughter, Karen Holly; granddaughter, Catherine Payton; son-in-law, Greg Duzey; and brother, Clarence Spaulding Jr.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Saint Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 1720 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne with the recitation of the Most Holy Rosary at 3 p.m.
