Patricia J. Runyon, 80, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024. She was born on September 19, 1944, in Fort Wayne, IN, to Thomas and Velma (Hartman) Schenkel. On May 22, 1965, she married Anthony K. Runyon, Jr., in Fort Wayne, IN.

Patricia attended Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. She dedicated many years to caring for children and had several interests including, cooking, baking, fishing, bingo and playing cards. She played baseball on the Junior Daisy League in her teenage years. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and attend their activities.

Patricia is survived by her children, Stephanie Bryant, Kristina (Daniel) Reese, Matthew (Dawn) Runyon, and Adam (Alaina Schuerman) Runyon. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Two sisters also survive her, Suzanne Schenkel and Barbara (Michael) Pennington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three brothers, Thomas, James, and Charles Schenkel.

Funeral Services will take place on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 11:30 am at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN, with an hour of visitation prior. The family will also receive relatives and friends from 2:00pm - 4:00pm on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the funeral home.
