Patricia Ann
Troutman
April 5, 1933 – October 9, 2024
Patricia Ann Troutman passed away on October 9, 2024, in Oceanside, CA. Born April 5, 1933, in Fort Wayne, IN. She was the daughter of George and Mabel (Wade) Grubb. She graduated from South Side High School in 1951 and married Richard (Dick) Earl Troutman on July 14, 1951 at St. Patrick's Church in Fort Wayne. Pat's roles included not only wife and mother to three, but also bookkeeper in the trust department of Peoples Trust Bank.
She was a devout Catholic and was active in the women's group at her last parish, St. Paul Catholic Chapel in Fremont, IN.
In addition to her family and her career, her passions included numerous arts and crafts, card and board games, and puzzles. She sewed, knitted, and crocheted. In addition to making clothes for her family, she gave away her crocheted afghans made with hours of love to family and friends. She loved reading, genealogy, and the lake. She and Dick retired to Coldwater Lake, MI. It was there that they set about spoiling their children and grandchildren with boating, fishing, jet skiing, sailing, skiing, and tubing. The grandchildren will always remember her back scratches, engaging bedtime stories and words of wisdom.
She was blessed with 68 years of matrimony to Dick, who preceded her in death in 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gerald Grubb. Patricia was the loving mother to three children, Michael (Ann), Debra (Rich LaVoie) and Mark (Ann Wallace) and four grandchildren, Lori (Doug Davis), Chris (Kasie Galbraith), Grant (Molly Chamberlin) and Katherine (Collin Malina) and one great grandson, Mark.
