In Loving Memory of Patrick Michael Doyle
December 26, 1956 - June 24, 2025
With deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, Patrick Michael Doyle, who left this world on June 24, 2025, at the age of 68.
Born on December 26, 1956, Patrick was the son of the late Clement H. Doyle and Alice C. (Imler) Doyle. He was a man who embraced life on his own terms, guided by a gentle spirit, a vibrant curiosity, and a soul deeply rooted in creativity and compassion.
He leaves behind his children: Danielle M. (Doyle) Ervin and Michael J. Doyle. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Breanna C. Thieme, Isaiah M. Ervin, Olivia R. Ervin, and Elijah S. Ervin. He is reunited in peace with his granddaughter, Adelee K. Ervin. Patrick was also a great-grandfather to Brennan Isaiah G. Bohnstedt and Corey Richard S. "CJ" Bohnstedt.
He is survived by his siblings: Nancy E. (Doyle) Palmer, Judith A. (Doyle) Kostro, Thomas P. Doyle (Sandra), Sharon A. Doyle, and Robert A. Doyle, along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also shared a true and lasting friendship with Beth A. Redden, a dear companion and confidante and her son Sean M. Redden.
Those who knew Patrick will remember him for his deep love of music, his passion for abstract art, and his vibrant green thumb. A free thinker and a true hippie at heart, he marched to the beat of his own drum, often challenging convention with a thoughtful, alternative perspective. His creativity and authenticity inspired those around him and left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 14, 2025, followed by a Funeral Service Celebrating Patrick's life at 11:00 AM, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46805. Burial will follow at the Catholic Cemetery.
Forever in our hearts, your spirit will live on-in your art, in the songs that remind us of you, in every blooming garden, and in the love of the family you made possible to grow.
