Patrick Laurence McCarthy Jr., 18, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023 in Austin, Texas. Born on September 26, 2004 in Fort Wayne, he is the son of Patrick and Suzy (McGuire) McCarthy Sr. Patrick was an avid hunter and loved music, especially playing guitar. He was well known for making people laugh and loved being a jokester. Most of all, Patrick will be remembered for his big heart and loving spirit. He is survived by his parents, Patrick and Suzy McCarthy; siblings, Gracie, Gunnar, Kenny, Danny, Molly, Helen and Josie; paternal grandparents, John and Helen McCarthy; and maternal grandparents, Dan and Jackie McGuire. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Charles Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to the service. Calling will also be Friday, August 18, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with a rosary at 5 p.m.
