February 13, 1931 – July 14, 2024
Ralph H. Sisco, 93, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday July 14, 2024, at Park Place Senior Living. Ralph was born February 13, 1931, in Newport, Vermont, the son of (the late) Henry and Ruth (Shastaney) Sisco. After high school, He served his country proudly in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and married Patricia (McCoy) Sisco on May 18, 1957. Patty preceded him in death on November 16, 2011, after 54 years of marriage. In addition to Patty and his parents, Ralph was also preceded in death by a daughter, Eileen Sisco and a sister, Betty Lou Sisco.
He is survived by his children; Juli (Richard) Murphy of Fort Wayne, Scott (Annette Cosby) Sisco of Zionsville and David Sisco of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Nicholas (Jessica) Murphy, Patrick (Gabrielle) Murphy and Danielle (Dan Morgan) Sisco, all of Fort Wayne; great-grandchildren, Raegan Murphy, Riley Murphy, Liam Murphy, Giavanne Armstrong, Ciarra Warnsley, Brayden Warnsley, Zeke Murphy and Lincoln Murphy, all of Fort Wayne, and his brother, Warren (Carole) Sisco of Camden NY.
Ralph retired as a mechanical engineer for McCoy Boltworks. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Parish, where he volunteered his time often; he was also a member of the Early Bird Toastmasters, the Kiwanis Club, and the New Cannan Society. He was a private pilot, enjoyed flying and he cherished the time he spent with family & friends at Coldwater Lake. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother, and will be greatly missed.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am Thursday July 18, 2024 in St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd. with visitation from 9:30-10:30 in the church. Visitation also from 4-8pm Wednesday at Divine Mercy Lake Avenue Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. The family's preferred memorial is the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, online at https://kidszoo.org, or by mail to 3411 Sherman Blvd. Fort Wayne, IN 46808.
